Velho Engineering Ltd was established in 2005 by three mechanics engineers. The first assignments of Velho were mainly cost reduction - engineering projects in sheet metal mechanics.

In 2006 operation expanded to cover also industrial design besides mechanics engineering. At the moment Velho employs approximately 20 product developers at three locations in Finland- Ylivieska, Vantaa and Oulu.

Velho Engineering Ltd got its name from one of the founders, Valto Hekkala, who is better known as”Sheet Metal-Wizard” in the business. The word “velho” in Finnish means a wizard.
The company is growing strongly and it is still completely on an entrepreneurship basis. Our vision is to be the leading Finnish sheet metal, plastic and casting mechanics design and engineering office in 2010 when measured with engineering knowledge, client references and aptness of product concepts.
